About the charity
The St Vincent de Paul Society ( England and Wales ) is a registered charity which owns and runs the Ozanam Centre.
It has more than 600,000 members in 142 countries around the world.
The aim of the SVP is the same today as it was at its conception in the 19th century - to tackle poverty in all its forms through the provision of practical assistance to those in need.
Part of this work is to provide holidays for disadvantaged families and children. For many, Snowdonia is less than a day away. In reality - because of poverty or other unfortunate circumstance - it is unreachable.
That's why every year the SVP brings more than 1,150 people and children to the Ozanam Centre for the holiday of a lifetime.
